Line Renaud Celebrates medical research with “Daughters” Muriel Robin and Claude Chirac
PARIS, November 18, 2025 - Veteran French actress and singer Line Renaud was surrounded by close friends, including Muriel Robin and claude Chirac, at the 7th annual award ceremony of the “Line Renaud-Loulou Gasté endowment Fund” in paris.The event, dedicated to recognizing advancements in medical research, highlighted Renaud’s ongoing commitment to philanthropy and the strong bonds she’s forged with those she considers family.
Despite a lifelong regret of not having children,a decision impacted by a request from her husband for an abortion she opposed,Renaud has cultivated deep relationships with a chosen family. She affectionately refers to Robin and Chirac as her “spiritual daughters,” a testament to the maternal connection she shares with both women.
“Luckily, I have my spiritual daughters! Muriel and Claude!” Renaud told TV Mag. The actress lives near Claude Chirac, daughter of former President Jacques Chirac and Bernadette chirac, and enjoys a especially close bond with comedian Muriel Robin, who reportedly calls Renaud “mom.” Robin has spoken publicly about a late-life finding of a family secret – learning her biological father was her mother’s lover – and appears to have found a maternal figure in Renaud.
The ceremony also drew support from Brigitte Macron, Marina Carrère d’Encausse, and Marc-Olivier Fogiel. Renaud’s “daughters” are expected to play a key role in continuing her work with organizations like Sidaction and her foundation, ensuring her legacy of commitment extends far into the future. Last May, Renaud donated her archives to the National Archives at the Ministry of Culture, with Dany Boon in attendance.
