Motorized Office Chair Market Disrupted with LiberNovoOmni Launch

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – LiberNovo has entered the competitive office chair ‌market with ‍the Omni, a $1,099 (MSRP) chair‌ featuring a battery-powered, motorized backrest ⁣designed to dynamically adjust to the user’s spine. The Omni, currently available in Midnight⁢ Black and Space ⁤Gray, aims to ⁣provide personalized ergonomic support without ⁢the need for manual lumbar adjustments.

The Omni distinguishes itself with its “Bionic FlexFit Backrest” and “ErgoPulse Motor System,” utilizing ⁢a battery to configure the backrest’s⁢ support. ⁤Three buttons on the left armrest control the backrest’s vertical adjustment and activate ⁢a spinal massage⁤ function.LiberNovo states the chair can support users up to 300 pounds.

Early reviews highlight the chair’s exceptionally pleasant padding, described as “multi-density ‌sponge⁣ cushion material” that offers plushness without excessive sinking. Testers⁣ noted the softness⁢ as a standout feature after weeks of use. However, breathability is ‌a potential concern, with users‍ reporting a slightly warm‌ back after extended periods, potentially exacerbated in warmer climates. While not as‌ breathable as mesh chairs, it is reportedly better than chairs covered in vegan leather.

The Omni’s armrests⁤ offer adjustments for height, forward/backward position, and inward/outward angle, though they lack the side-to-side movement found on higher-end models like the Herman Miller Embody. LiberNovo emphasizes the armrests’ stability, addressing ‌a common issue with cheaper ⁤chairs.

The‌ company⁢ currently lists the Omni for sale at $848, a discount from ⁤the $1,099 MSRP.The long-term durability⁢ of the fabric, which tends to collect hair, remains to be‍ seen after extended use.
