paul Gallagher, the elder brother of Oasis musicians Noel and Liam Gallagher, has been charged with multiple offenses, including rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, sexual assault, intentional strangulation, threats too kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The alleged incidents occurred between 2022 and 2024, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Gallagher, 59, of manor Park Road, East Finchley, is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 27.The charges follow an examination that began in 2024, and a woman is reportedly receiving support from specialized officers.
In 1996, Paul Gallagher published “Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis – The real Story,” a book chronicling his younger brothers’ upbringing and the formation of the iconic band. He currently resides in a North London flat purchased by Noel Gallagher in 2004 and has worked as a DJ and photographer.
The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that they authorized the Metropolitan Police to charge Gallagher, emphasizing that criminal proceedings are active and the defendant is entitled to a fair trial. They also cautioned against any online reporting or commentary that could prejudice the proceedings.
