LG Uplus Partners With Google to Train Creators on AI Content Production
LG Uplus hosted an artificial intelligence content creation training program for 18 top-performing creators from its U+BOOSTUS community at the Google Korea office in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on October 2, 2024, as efnews.co.kr reported. The initiative aimed to strengthen creators' digital capabilities as generative artificial intelligence reshapes how content is produced.
Creators Use Gemini to Practice Video Production Workflows
Participants used Google’s generative artificial intelligence tool, Gemini, to practice the complete production workflow from initial planning to video editing. The hands-on sessions focused on structuring narrative concepts, refining creative ideas, and utilizing artificial intelligence as an assistant tool for content creation. Attendees reviewed practical production examples to identify effective deployment strategies and necessary precautions when operating generative systems.
Following the practical exercises, creators refined individual concepts tailored to their specific channels and niches. The itinerary also included a tour of the Google Korea office, briefings on digital content trends, and networking sessions where participants exchanged production experiences and operational strategies.
U+BOOSTUS Community Growth and Global Tours
LG Uplus launched the U+BOOSTUS creator community program in 2023. Under the model, members experience LG Uplus products and services firsthand before producing promotional content for their respective channels. The community currently encompasses approximately 260 active creators who have collectively produced about 4,700 pieces of content.
According to LG Uplus data cited by efnews.co.kr, these digital assets have generated a cumulative 150 million views alongside 1.18 million engagements. Season 5 of the program prioritizes expanding production competencies and operational scopes through targeted education, domestic and international technology enterprise visits, and specialized networking sessions.
The Google Korea workshop follows an overseas exploration program held in September, which brought 12 top-performing creators to Tokyo, Japan. During the Tokyo trip, participants attended content workshops at the local Meta office, explored global creator trends, and tested new hardware devices. Hee-jin Kim, head of the brand marketing team at LG Uplus, stated that equipping creators with artificial intelligence competencies is increasingly critical as the technology transforms overall production methods, noting that the company intends to maintain support for creator competitiveness.
