Community members met with workers from the bio-pharma and life sciences sector during a Wednesday gathering to discuss current industry opportunities. Bluegrass Community and Technical College announced the establishment of a new advisory council structured to connect workforce leaders directly with students. “I think we’ve got tremendous opportunity in front of us, we’ve already seen some of that realized with the program for instance with BCTC, Kindeva, Piramal, and Catalent with taking an education program that’s funded by the state of Kentucky to educate folks to be able to be a biotech operator,” Scholte said, as reported by wkyt.com.
