Lesco Reports Rs237.38⁣ Million in Flood Damage Across Multiple Circles

LAHORE, pakistan – September⁣ 26, 2025 – Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has assessed damages totaling Rs237.38 million⁤ resulting​ from recent rains and floods impacting⁤ its service areas. The losses are spread across several circles, with Kasur circle sustaining the most significant damage at over Rs197⁢ million.

According⁣ to Lesco’s assessment, Okara circle ‌experienced losses of Rs24.96 million, while Sheikhupura reported Rs5.7‌ million in ‍damages. The north circle faced​ a Rs1 million loss, and Nankana circle’s losses amounted to Rs1.90 million. Central circle reported​ Rs6.35 million ⁣in damage.

Specific damages include transformers, conductors, structures, meters,​ and insulators. In Kasur, 57 transformers (10kVa), 22⁣ transformers of 15kVa, 46 transformers of 25kVa, and one 100kVa transformer where damaged, alongside 3,288 single phase meters and six 132/66 kV transmission lines. Okara circle saw damage to seven 25kVa transformers, four 50kVa transformers, and one 100kVa transformer, as well as 737 single phase meters ‍and 85 ⁢three‌ phase meters.

The assessment details damage to 450⁣ conductors in the north circle, 500 conductors ⁤and 450 dogg conductors in‌ the central circle, and over 12,000 conductors in Okara. Numerous HT and LT ⁤structures were also affected across the impacted circles.

Meanwhile,the Punjab Industrial estates Development and Management Company Board of Directors (BoD) approved Rs18 billion in investments ‌for various development​ projects on Thursday. These include Rs8 billion for Quaid-i-Azam Business Park,⁢ Rs1.2 billion for⁣ the Bahawalpur Industrial Estate, Rs2.2 billion for Rahim Yar Khan Industrial Estate, Rs4.5 billion for the extension of Multan Industrial ⁤Estate Phase-II, Rs1 billion for drainage systems, and Rs1 billion for Vehari Industrial Estate.
