leroy Merlin‘s Enki App Launches New Features to Directly Lower Energy Bills
PARIS – Leroy Merlin is expanding its Enki connected home ecosystem wiht two new services designed to translate energy savings into tangible financial benefits for users. Unveiled today in Paris, teh updates include an “energy erasure” program and a built-in energy contract comparison tool.
The core of the new offering is “energy erasure,” which automatically adjusts connected radiators during peak electricity demand, leveraging a partnership with a flexibility operator. Leroy Merlin anticipates users can earn up to €15 per radiator annually through this program, representing a shift towards “collective intelligence serving the network and energy savings.”
Alongside this, Enki now allows users to directly compare and switch energy contracts within the app, aiming to secure more advantageous offers. this feature builds upon the existing Energy Coach, which has been enhanced with more precise monitoring, personalized advice, and a redesigned user interface for improved consumption visualization.
“The objective remains unchanged: to make the connected home useful, simple and accessible,” a Leroy Merlin representative stated.
The Enki ecosystem continues to grow, now boasting compatibility with over 500 products from 26 brands. Recent additions include partnerships with Noirot (heating), Schneider Electric (electricity), and Tapo (TP-Link) for lighting solutions.
These updates follow a major technological overhaul of the Enki platform in 2024, with a renewed focus on energy and heating management, and signal Leroy Merlin’s commitment to helping consumers navigate rising energy costs.
