In the program ‘They were two fantastic days’, Leontine Ruiters (57) shares a particularly personal story about her spiritual journey after her divorce by Marco Borsato (58). For example, she talks about her experience with Ayahuasca, a vegetable agent that is often used during healing ceremonies. The presenter also clearly announces that she will no longer meet with the singer.
“Then I thought: wow, what a beautiful insight”
After the divorce, Leontine wanted to do everything to heal. In addition to therapy, she also decided to use Ayahuasca. “I started doing that after the divorce. I had a lot of need to just heal and solve things for myself. By discovering: who am I actually without Marco?”, Leontine explains.
“It helped me a lot.” She describes how the ceremony went: “So much happens. You take a drink and then you lie down and see what will happen. It started with me that I all saw scary faces. Demons, in my opinion. So I said that to her (the supervisor, ed.).”
The supervisor advised her not to run away from these fears, but to embrace them. “I went to those demons and I started embracing them and then it all became very sweet, friendly beings. Then I thought: wow, what a good insight. If you just look at your demons and give love, because that is what they need, then they are no longer demons. They are just in your head.”
Frank Masmeijer, who is also in the episode, is curious about what Marco is doing. “Do you know what I think is a shame actually? That I have never seen him again, but I think he is hiding or just leaving.” Leontine responds understanding to Frank’s question. “Well, he has made his world small and that is very understandable.”
Frank then carefully checks whether her ex-husband is doing well, to which Leontine answers: “It goes okay. We are all good as a family, as a family we are good. That is very nice.” Frank is curious if Marco and Leontine will ever come together, but she is clear about that: “No.”
The lawsuit against Marco Borsato starts in October. The Public Prosecution Service decided in September 2023 to prosecute him for suspicion of fornication with a minor. You can see more about it in the video below.
