Leon Kratzer Joins FC Bayern Munich in BBL

Leon kratzer Returns to Basketball Bundesliga with FC Bayern Munich

National player Leon Kratzer is set to return to the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) after a two-year hiatus. He will join FC Bayern Munich for the upcoming season.

The 28-year-old center arrives from Paris Basket, where he achieved significant success. Kratzer’s move is intended to help fill the void left by the long-term injury of Elias Harris.

“I want to show that I am still one of the best centers in the league,” kratzer stated about his return to the BBL.

Sports director Dragan Tarlac expressed enthusiasm for the signing.He described Kratzer as an experienced and mobile big man who will enhance the team’s rebounding presence.

Tarlac also highlighted kratzer’s ability to contribute in other areas. he anticipates the newcomer will integrate smoothly into the team, as he knows many of his new teammates.

Kratzer will find familiar faces in Munich, including world champion Andreas Obst. The two players previously shared a living space.

“A dream comes true for me,” Kratzer commented on the move. He acknowledged his positive experience in Paris but emphasized the significance of joining a club with Bayern’s reputation.

During his time with Paris Basket, Kratzer secured the Eurocup title in 2024.Last season, the team also clinched the French championship and cup double.
