Lenovo MWC 2024: AI Laptops, Tiko Companion & 3D Concepts Revealed

Lenovo unveiled a series of new AI-powered devices and concepts at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, including a laptop accessory featuring an animated AI agent and a modular laptop design, signaling a broader push into integrating artificial intelligence directly into its hardware offerings.

The new “Magic Bay” accessory, demonstrated at the conference, is a small, circular module that magnetically attaches to the top of a Lenovo laptop display. The module houses “Tiko,” an animated AI companion that users can interact with via text or voice commands. According to Lenovo, Tiko can perform tasks such as controlling music playback, opening web pages, and answering questions, and can even respond to emoji inputs. The company intends to release the Magic Bay accessory later this year, though specific pricing and availability remain unconfirmed.

Beyond Tiko, Lenovo showcased the “AI Workmate Concept,” a tabletop robotic device designed to assist with workspace tasks. The device, resembling a desk lamp with an orb-shaped head, utilizes cameras, microphones, and projectors to generate presentations, digitize handwritten notes, and proactively manage tasks. Lenovo described the AI Workmate as a way to bridge the physical and digital worlds, offering a more intuitive and integrated work experience.

The company also presented several concept laptops, including the ThinkBook Modular AI PC. This design features a detachable secondary screen that can be reconfigured in multiple ways – attached to the laptop lid, used as a standalone portable monitor, or placed on the keyboard deck. Lenovo highlighted the potential for this modularity to extend device lifecycles and adapt to evolving user needs. Another concept, the Yoga Book Pro 3D, employs directional backlight and eye-tracking technology to create a glasses-free 3D visual experience, complete with gesture control and snap-on pads for quick access to controls.

These announcements follow Lenovo’s presence at the Consumer Electronics Display earlier this year, where it unveiled its Qira personal AI agent and a range of new laptops and accessories. The company has also indicated that its Qira AI agent will be integrated into more than 20 devices in the coming weeks. Lenovo’s continued investment in AI-powered devices reflects a broader industry trend toward integrating artificial intelligence into personal computing, with a focus on enhancing productivity, personalization, and security.

At MWC 2026, Lenovo also highlighted the ThinkTab X11, a new rugged Android tablet designed for frontline and industrial environments. The company emphasized the device’s durability, connectivity, and enterprise manageability.
