Las Vegas Aces Prioritize Women’s Health with Mammovan & Cancer awareness Game

LAS VEGAS,NV – August 6,2025 – In a powerful display of community commitment,the Las vegas Aces are doubling down on their support for women’s health,announcing an upcoming Mammovan screening event adn a “Shooting 4 a Cure” campaign focused on raising awareness and funds for cancer research and access to care.
Affordable Mammography Screenings Available August 12th
For the fourth consecutive year, the Aces are partnering with Nevada Health Centers to offer affordable mammography screenings via the Mammovan. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 12th, at the Aces Headquarters in Henderson, Nevada.Aces staff and team mascot BUCKET$ will be present to support participants.
up to 40 patients will be screened during the event, and each participant will receive a complimentary pair of tickets to the Aces’ Cancer Awareness Game on August 17th against the Dallas Wings. Screenings are primarily intended for women aged 40 and older, but those younger than 40 with a referral from their healthcare provider are also eligible.
Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling 1-877-581-6266 and selecting option 1. Additional incentives and prizes will be awarded to those screened.
“Shooting 4 a Cure” Campaign Highlights Triple Negative Breast Cancer
The Aces are once again collaborating with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund for the “Shooting 4 a Cure” campaign. During the August 17th game, fans can pledge a donation for every three-pointer made by the Aces. This year’s campaign will specifically shine a light on Triple Negative Breast Cancer,a particularly aggressive form of the disease that disproportionately impacts Black women.
Every three-pointer scored by the Aces will represent a step towards improving access to quality cancer care for under-resourced women.Fans can purchase tickets to the August 17th game here.
Support the Cause Through Charity Auction
Fans can further contribute to the cause by participating in the Las Vegas Aces Shooting 4 a Cure Charity Auction. Currently up for bid are a team-signed 2025 Las Vegas Aces basketball and an autographed jersey from Aces star A’ja Wilson.
