Landskrona BoIS spelade 1-1 mot Varberg efter sent kvitteringsmål
Landskrona BoIS drew 1–1 against Varbergs BoIS at Landskrona IP on Tuesday evening in front of 3,380 spectators, a result that leaves Landskrona facing a difficult path to reach the Allsvenskan promotion playoffs, according to a match report published by Skånesport.
How a Late Equalizer Stalled the Promotion Push
Mathias Andreasen opened the scoring for Landskrona in the 70th minute from close range following a scramble in the penalty area. The goal arrived after head coach Robin Asterhed introduced Edi Sylisufaj at halftime, a substitution that immediately energized the home side’s attack. Constantino Capotondi and Zakaria Loukili began linking up effectively on the left flank, creating sustained pressure that eventually forced a free kick from the left side.
Edi Sylisufaj served the dead ball toward the near post where Varberg goalkeeper Daniel Strindholm made a sprawling save, dropping the ball directly into the path of Andreasen. The Danish forward converted from a meter out to put the hosts ahead. For nearly a quarter of an hour, the home side looked poised to claim three points that would solidify their standing in the upper tier of the Superettan table.
The visitors altered the momentum in the 84th minute. Following a trademark long throw-in by Gustav Broman, Emil Hellman delivered a cross into the box. Niklas Dahlström chested the ball down, turned 180 degrees, and drove a volley past the Landskrona defense to equalize for Varberg at 1–1. Landskrona pushed numbers forward in the closing moments—sending captain Andreas Murbeck into the attack as an extra forward and having goalkeeper Marcus Pettersson register a header just wide on a late corner—but failed to find a winner.
A Physical First Half Defined by Set Pieces and Clashes
The opening forty-five minutes yielded few clear scoring opportunities while establishing a bruising physical tone. Oliver Alfonsi shadowed Landskrona playmaker André Alvarez Pérez throughout the half, reflecting the resursanpassade tactical approach associated with former Varberg manager Joakim Persson. Varberg disrupted Landskrona’s buildup through relentless pressing, tactical fouls, and a barrage of long throw-ins, corner kicks, and free kicks.
The physical confrontations boiled over shortly before halftime. Following a Varberg free kick, a clash erupted near the goal involving the visiting attack and Landskrona goalkeeper Marcus Pettersson. Captain Andreas Murbeck stepped in and wrestled an opposing player inside the net, drawing a yellow card from the referee just before the halftime whistle.
Despite Varberg’s disruptive tactics, they produced limited offense before the break, with an early shot from Oliver Alfonsi in the 17th minute standing as their primary threat prior to the late equalizer. Late substitute Ole Werner hit the side netting in the 81st minute for the visitors’ only other notable chance of the second half.

The Run-In and the Standings
The draw leaves Landskrona with a steep climb in the final stretch of the Superettan campaign. Over the preceding eleven rounds, Landskrona accumulated five more points than Varberg, but dropped points earlier in the spring and summer created the deficit in the race for the qualification spot. Varberg holds remaining fixtures against Ljungskile at home and GIF Sundsvall away. Landskrona must face Örebro at home and Ljungskile away while attempting to make up a three-point gap.
