The Onset of Alzheimer’s
Several years ago, Mr.Mees began experiencing troubling symptoms that initially baffled doctors.Difficulties with speech and memory led to concerns about burnout or depression. I was 50, I always worked a lot, it would not be abnormal that I needed a time-out that the barrel was too full. But it didn’t improve, no matter how I rested,

Extensive testing,including a lumbar puncture and brain scans,eventually revealed the diagnosis: Alzheimer’s disease. This diagnosis brought a sense of clarity amidst the uncertainty.
It was a relief. I immediately cracked a bottle of cava. We finally knew what’s gone. A horrible truth, but the anger and frustration of four years of looking fruitlessly was finally over. I am in my fate. Shit Happens. Of course I think it’s a lot,of course I wonder why I can’t change.
