KitchenAid unveiled its 2026 Color of the Year – Spearmint – on Thursday, February 12, 2026, launching the new shade on its popular Artisan Series 5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer.
The mint green hue, described as “crisp, clean, and invigorating” by KitchenAid, features a tactile, sandy finish. Brittni Pertijs, a design manager at Whirlpool, explained that the color selection process involves tracking global color and interior design trends over a period of more than two years, seeking inspiration from emotional responses to color.
The Spearmint mixer is priced at $549.99 and is now available for purchase, according to KitchenAid. The launch continues a tradition of annual color releases that began in 1955, with previous years featuring shades like Butter Yellow (2025), Blue Salt (2024), and Hibiscus (2023). The company views its color choices as a reflection of cultural shifts and evolving design preferences.
According to KitchenAid, the Spearmint shade is intended to evoke feelings of calm and clarity, aligning with a broader trend towards wellness-inspired palettes and muted pastels in interior design. The design team noted a shift in how people approach cooking at home, seeking a more peaceful and less chaotic kitchen environment.
The Artisan Series 5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in Spearmint includes standard attachments such as beaters, whisks, and dough hooks.
