Keke Wyatt’s Son Accuses singer of Exploiting His cancer Battle for Clout
R&B singer Keke Wyatt is facing accusations from her son, Rahjah Wyatt, who alleges she exploited his cancer diagnosis for personal gain. in a recently surfaced YouTube video, Rahjah claims his mother leveraged his illness to attract attention, referring to the situation as “karma.” The allegations come years after Wyatt publicly shared Rahjah’s battle with cancer, soliciting support from fans and documenting portions of his treatment.
The dispute centers on wyatt’s public discussion of Rahjah’s leukemia diagnosis in 2017, including an emotional Instagram video where she announced she would shave her head in solidarity with her son as he lost his hair during chemotherapy. While Wyatt framed these actions as expressions of maternal support, Rahjah now contends they were motivated by a desire for publicity. The situation highlights a complex dynamic between a public figure parent and a child navigating a deeply personal health crisis, raising questions about privacy, consent, and the ethics of sharing vulnerable experiences for public consumption.
In 2017,Wyatt revealed her son’s cancer prognosis in an emotional Instagram video, asking fans for prayers as she prepared to shave her head in solidarity. “Haven’t really said too much about my personal life, but my child has been fighting cancer and lost all of their hair that they loved. It hurts me so bad,” she wrote at the time. “I need a complete healing for my baby.” Her mother, brother, and aunt also shaved their heads in support.
A year later, the R&B Divas: Atlanta star shared that Rahjah had officially beaten cancer. “NO MORE CANCER,” she captioned a celebratory YouTube video, where she and Rahjah discussed his diagnosis and treatment journey.
Though, Rahjah now recalls noticing the first signs of his illness during a trip to an amusement park, when he struggled to walk.He soon began losing weight at a concerning rate.”Because I was dying! I was literally dying, and we didn’t know,” Rahjah stated in the recent video.
Following bloodwork, Wyatt recalled receiving the devastating phone call from his doctor confirming her worst fear.”I said, ‘What is it? Like, cancer or something?’ And she said, ‘Yes.’ Honey, my butthole fell on the floor. My throat hit my butt and my butt hit the floor. I couldn’t believe it,” she said. When doctors confirmed it was leukemia, the singer admitted her teeth began chattering in shock.
Wyatt also remembered the terrifying seizures Rahjah suffered while in the hospital. “Whenever something happens with you, the whole hospital pops up at your door,” she told her son. ”Everybody had something to do on you. That was the scariest crap I had ever been thru in my life. If there was ever a time in my life where I would lose my mind, that would be the day.”
The recently surfaced video features Rahjah directly addressing the allegations of exploitation, prompting a renewed examination of Wyatt’s public portrayal of his cancer journey. The video is currently available on YouTube.
