Katten London: Strategic Shift Doubles UK Revenues

Katten London Office Doubles​ Revenue, ⁣Expands Services

LONDON – Katten, a leading international law firm, ⁤is significantly expanding its presence in London, having nearly doubled its UK revenue sence 2021. The firm’s strategic shift,detailed‍ in⁣ a recent Legal Business report,has seen its London office evolve from a specialized financial services ⁢boutique into a full-service legal ‌hub.

Established ​20 years⁣ ago,⁤ Katten’s London office now boasts over 40 lawyers and‌ offers ‌a broadened range of capabilities including corporate law, private equity, mergers ⁢and acquisitions (M&A), and litigation, complementing ‍its established strength in financial services.

Christopher Hitchins, London Managing Partner at Katten, emphasized the⁤ firm’s long-term commitment to the London market. “First,we reiterated a strong commitment to be in London,in particular in ⁣the core markets that we see as our signature strengths⁤ in the US,primarily ​finance and‍ financial ⁢services,and related practices including corporate,private ‌equity,M&A,and litigation,” Hitchins stated.

The firm’s growth strategy centers on leveraging its success in financial services ‍to expand into ⁢other ⁢practice areas with an international client base. “And second, a commitment to double⁤ down on the strengths that we have in financial services in London, and to try to replicate our success there across practices ⁣where the firm has an international client base and need,” Hitchins explained.

Katten‍ is also deepening its​ integration with​ its US platform, creating a more ​seamless service offering for clients‍ operating across both markets. The firm views London as a crucial gateway for international business.
