A Milestone Birthday and an Unexpected Romance

The past five years have tested Tykkä through a succession of personal and family trials. Her life brought the deaths of her maternal grandmother and her mother, personal and family illnesses including cancer, and the dissolution of a long marriage. Tykkä filed for divorce, which became official in January, closing a chapter that had long placed her under intense public scrutiny.

Stepping Away From Public Perfection and Filters

For 28 years, Tykkä lived under public review, carrying an expectation of flawlessness that she says she no longer needs to maintain. When news of her divorce first emerged, she felt a sense of relief that people would no longer view her as a faultless individual. That shift prompted her to abandon digital alterations entirely.

She recalls having used a Paris filter to enhance her photographs without digitally restructuring her features, but she ultimately questioned the purpose of the practice. “Heräsin siihen, että miksi valehtelen itselleni ja muille tässä? Minun on pakko pystyä näyttämään ihmisille se, joka olen,” she notes of her realization that she needed to present her authentic self.

Tykkä began attending therapy roughly three years ago, describing the practice as an essential tool for holistic well-being. She has also spent the last five years shedding the internal need to justify her choices to the public. Having carried a heavy emotional burden through years of accumulated grief, she views her current life stage as an entirely new chapter built on self-reliance and personal boundaries.

Real Estate Ventures and Ongoing Legal Proceedings

Alongside her personal milestones, Tykkä has undertaken significant lifestyle changes, including a major real estate investment. In the autumn, she purchased a seaside home in Espoo requiring extensive renovation, financing the project independently with a large bank loan. Her father initially urged caution regarding the financial commitment, but after visiting the property, he expressed support for her vision.

At the same time, legal matters involving her former business connections have drawn public attention. During the autumn, proceedings unfolded in the East Uusimaa District Court regarding a dispute between Tykkä and wellness coach Nanna Karalahti. Tykkä is demanding that Karalahti’s company pay compensation of up to 200,000 euros plus penalty interest and legal costs to Tykkä’s enterprise. Tykkä has maintained a strict personal policy against discussing corporate disputes in public forums, emphasizing that business matters belong outside the media sphere.
