Kaczyński: Nawrocki Swearing-In, New Constitution, and Electoral Push

Jarosław Kaczyński, leader of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, emphasized the need for increased political victories and a broader expansion of power, including at the local government level. Speaking on November 27, 2023, Kaczyński stated that securing power isn’t solely about national control but also requires influence within Poland’s 2,477 gminas (municipalities), 380 powiats (counties), and 16 voivodeships (provinces). He underscored that local government is an integral component of the Polish state.
