K-Pop Star Hyuna Collapses Onstage, Reports ⁢Memory Loss Following Incident

MACAU – K-pop singer Hyuna collapsed onstage during a performance at the Waterbomb festival in Macau on Saturday, sparking concern among fans and raising questions about her health. The artist, known for hits like “Bubble Pop!” ⁣and her work with the duo 4Minute, ‍reportedly lost consciousness and was assisted offstage. Hyuna has as addressed fans, stating she‌ has no recollection of the incident.

In a post to Instagram, Hyuna‍ apologized to fans and concertgoers, writing in ⁣Korean, “I’m really sorry. It’s only been a short time as ⁤my last performance, but ‌I wanted to show you my best ​side.” She specifically apologized to those who attended the Macau show, promising to focus on improving her physical stamina. “I will try to⁤ build up ⁢my stamina and work hard continuously. It⁤ would⁢ be great ⁣if ⁤everything goes according to my expectations, but I will do my best,” she stated.

The collapse follows weeks of ​public discussion surrounding Hyuna’s rapid weight loss. In early October, she⁤ shared posts expressing a desire to return to a stricter diet, stating, “Hyun-ah, you ate ⁣way too much. Let’s stop ‍this‍ and go on a strict diet. You liked being thin, right? Let’s do it again.” She later revealed she had lost approximately ten kilograms‍ (22 pounds) in four weeks, weighing just 49 kilograms (108‌ pounds).”It’s so hard to ⁣change the first digit from the‍ 50s. I still have a long way to go,” she‍ captioned a photo of her scale.

Hyuna’s health struggles⁣ are not new. In ⁣August 2020, she postponed the‍ release of‌ her single “good Girl” after being diagnosed‍ with vasovagal syncope, a condition that can cause fainting due to low blood pressure or prolonged standing. She also publicly disclosed her battle⁤ with depression‌ and panic disorder ‍in November‌ 2019.

Fans have expressed widespread support for Hyuna,with many acknowledging her long career in the demanding K-pop industry. One fan commented on Instagram, “This girl has been working sence she‍ was‍ 15.She’s been through difficult public periods. I hope she takes care ⁤of herself.”

Hyuna⁣ debuted in 2007 as a member of Wonder Girls before joining 4Minute in 2009. She launched a successful solo career in 2010 and has remained a prominent figure in the K-pop scene.
