Yale Delegation Partners with jujuy Foundation to Boost Emotional Well-being Through Free Workshops

San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina – A unique collaboration between the Foundation for the Development of Computer Scientists of Jujuy (DIF) and a delegation of alumni from Yale University is bringing a series of free workshops focused on emotional well-being and personal development to the province.Running throughout this week, these experiential and bilingual (English/Spanish) sessions are designed for diverse age groups, including children, adolescents, parents, and teachers, with limited quotas to ensure personalized engagement.

The Yale delegation arrived in San Salvador de Jujuy last Saturday as part of a social and educational exchange program, and will remain in the province until Thursday, July 31. Their presence underscores a commitment to fostering vital socio-emotional skills within the community.

Empowering Parents with Love and Tools

One of the most anticipated offerings is the workshop for parents, titled “Accompanying with love and Tools.” This session aims to provide a reflective space for parents to deepen their understanding of their children’s emotions and learn effective strategies for support from home. Scheduled to take place in the CIC Hall of the 23 de Agosto neighborhood at various times between Monday and Thursday, each meeting will accommodate a maximum of 20 participants. Key topics include emotional recognition using the “Mood Meter,” stress management techniques, utilizing drawing and writing as expressive outlets, and building children’s self-esteem. Strengthening Educators for More Human Classrooms

Teachers are also set to benefit from a professional development workshop focused on creating “More Human Classrooms and Strengthened Links.” This collaborative conversation will explore the crucial role of educators in providing emotional containment and fostering safe learning environments. two sessions are planned, emphasizing emotional consciousness and the teacher’s role as a guide and protector. The workshop will equip educators with tools to promote emotional regulation in the classroom, prevent bullying, encourage inclusion, and celebrate cultural identity.while the exact location is pending confirmation, registration is now open for these experiential sessions, with a limit of 20 teachers per group.

Nurturing Emotional Well-being in Children and Adolescents

Younger members of the community will engage in a children’s emotional well-being workshop held in the Hall of Barrio 23 de Agosto. tailored for children aged 7 to 12, the week-long activities will incorporate games, short videos, artistic expression, and group dynamics. Guided by Yale delegation members with expertise in emotional education,children will learn to identify emotions,manage stress,and value their personal and cultural identity in a supportive and attentive setting. This free workshop requires prior registration.

For adolescents aged 13 to 19, a dedicated workshop in Humahuaca will offer practical tools for self-knowledge, emotional management, and building healthy self-esteem. Taking place from Monday to Thursday in the Hall next to the Humahuaca Youth Complex, this dynamic and participatory space aims to provide crucial containment and strengthen basic socio-emotional skills during this formative stage of life. Limited quotas will be in place for this valuable program.

These initiatives represent a notable step in fostering a more emotionally resilient and supportive community across Jujuy, made possible through the collaborative spirit of the DIF Foundation and the International Network Student Service Corps of Yale University.
