Jorginho Frello Accuses Chappell Roan’s Security of Aggressive Incident with Daughter at Lollapalooza Brazil
Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello accused pop singer Chappell Roan and her security team of aggressive behavior toward his 11-year-old daughter at a São Paulo hotel on Saturday, according to a post shared to his Instagram Stories. The incident occurred while Frello’s wife and daughter were attending Lollapalooza Brazil, where Roan was headlining.
Frello detailed the encounter, stating that his daughter, a fan of Roan, had recognized the singer during breakfast and simply looked to confirm her identity. “She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything,” Frello wrote. He alleges that a security guard subsequently approached their table and spoke to his wife and daughter “in an extremely aggressive manner,” claiming his daughter was “disrespecting” or “harassing” Roan.
“Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,” Frello continued in his post. He stated his daughter was left “in tears” by the interaction, and that the security guard threatened to file a complaint with the hotel.
Frello, who plays for Flamengo, expressed frustration with the situation, emphasizing the importance of respecting fans. “It’s sad to see this kind of treatment coming from those who should understand the importance of fans. At the end of the day, they are the ones who build all of this,” he wrote. He concluded his post with a direct message to Roan, stating, “WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING. AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION.”
Representatives for Chappell Roan have not responded to requests for comment from multiple news outlets, including The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.
The incident comes after Roan publicly addressed concerns about fan behavior in August 2024, requesting fans to “stop touching me,” “stop being weird to my family and friends” and “stop assuming things about me” in an Instagram post. She stated she needed to establish boundaries to protect her well-being and career, adding, “women don’t owe you shit.”
Roan as well recently confronted paparazzi in Paris, filming them with her phone and demanding they give her space, stating she was “being disregarded as a human.”
The Hollywood Reporter noted that Frello’s daughter is the biological daughter of Jude Law and Catherine Harding, Frello’s wife. Representatives for Law have been contacted for comment.
