Jokowi Confirmed Directing Volunteers to Back Prabowo-gibran for Two Terms
Solo – president Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has publicly confirmed he instructed volunteers from Bara JP to provide support for President Prabowo-Gibran throughout their full two-term mandate.The acknowledgement follows statements made by Bara JP leadership regarding the directive.
Jokowi stated on Friday, September 19, 2025, “From the beginning I conveyed to all volunteers for that [supporting prabowo-Gibran two periods],” reiterating he had tasked volunteers with backing the current administration for the duration of its term. He emphasized this instruction was given directly to his volunteer base, responding to inquiries about the bara JP’s stated commitment. When asked if Prabowo-Gibran would seek re-election in 2029, Jokowi declined to comment, stating he had only communicated the two-term support directive to the volunteers.
Willem Frans Ansanay, Chairman of Bara JP, reported on September 13th that his organization is committed to supporting Prabowo-Gibran for two periods, aligning with Jokowi’s guidance. “We support the government program, Asta citanya, and 17 priority programs. This spirit is not just our want, but is a mandate from the main coach of Bara JP, namely Mr. Joko Widodo,” Frans said. He added that the initial instruction was to oversee the government, but the organization broadened the scope to full two-term support.
