The festival calendar kicks off at the Brisbane Showgrounds with a massive New Year’s Eve event on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2026. From there, the production makes the roughly 2,700-mile cross-country journey to Perth for a full show on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2027, at Arena Joondalup, according to official scheduling details.

Dance music festivals represent a dominant force in the contemporary Australian entertainment landscape, accounting for roughly one-quarter of the country’s more than 500 active music festivals. Wildlands sits squarely within this high-demand market, backed by federal government funding through the Revive Live initiative.

Reimagined Stage Design and Production Layouts

According to an official statement from organizers Untitled Group, both Wildlands locations will feature overhauled site layouts and reimagined stage designs tailored to the southern hemisphere summer. The production brings back the open-air Sahara Stage, engineered specifically for daytime and evening sets under the open summer sky. Meanwhile, the tented Summit Stage returns to host integrated live elements, joined by a brand-new addition called The Wilds Stage, which grants concert-goers close, on-side access alongside performing DJs.
