John Cena Announces Complete Iron Survivor Challenge Lineups for NXT Deadline
ORLANDO, FL – November 21, 2023 – WWE Superstar John Cena unveiled the full competitor lineups for the inaugural Iron Survivor Challenge matches set to headline NXT Deadline on December 2nd, 2023, at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The declaration came during Tuesday nightS episode of NXT.
The Iron survivor Challenge is a new match format designed to test endurance and resilience. Two fifteen-minute rounds will be contested, with a five-minute break in between. Competitors remain in a steel cage throughout the entirety of the match, and can only be eliminated via pinfall or submission. The last wrestler remaining in each cage will advance to a final one-on-one showdown to determine the overall winner. This unique structure promises a grueling and unpredictable contest, adding a high-stakes element to the NXT Deadline event.
For the men’s division, the Iron Survivor Challenge will feature Dominik Mysterio, Ilja Dragunov, JD McDonagh, and Von Wagner. The women’s Iron Survivor Challenge will pit Becky Lynch against Tiffany Stratton, Kiana James, and Zoey Stark.
Cena’s appearance on NXT marked a important moment for the developmental brand, lending star power to the unveiling of this groundbreaking match type.
