Lale Gül Criticized by Johan Derksen for Collaboration wiht Heleen van Royen
Amsterdam, Netherlands – Television personality Johan Derksen sharply criticized author and opinion maker Lale Gül for her recent association with Heleen van Royen, calling the collaboration “completely wrong.” Derksen voiced his concerns in his podcast, Greetings from Grolloo, expressing disappointment after Gül chose to appear on RTL Tonight rather than Today Inside, a program he favors.
derksen initially praised Gül for her courage in speaking out against her background and the Islamic movement, acknowledging the personal cost of her stance, including estrangement from her family. However, he believes partnering with van Royen is a misstep. “You should not have anything to do with that,” he stated, referring to van Royen’s practice of selling photos of herself, including images in lingerie, online for €250.
He characterized van Royen as someone who “always wants to write books about eroticism” and argued that associating with her would diminish Gül’s credibility. “It is not good for Lale Gül, becuase of the fact that she is taken much less seriously,” Derksen explained.
Derksen urged Gül to remain focused on advocating for women’s rights and protesting against the Islamization of the Netherlands. He acknowledged Gül’s recent success may be leading her to ”break through a bit,” but reiterated his strong disapproval of the collaboration.
“It is sickly to advertise with used panties,” Derksen added, stating, “There are always those crazy people who love to smell it. I am 76 and I have a glorious past as a lover, but I have never had the tendency to smell a worn panties of anyone…”
The criticism comes after Gül’s decision to appear on RTL Tonight, a program Derksen deemed a “flop.” He had previously expressed interest in having Gül as a regular guest on Today Inside.
