BINTAN, INDONESIA – August 8, 2024 – JinGangShan Asia-Pacific general Association (APGA) today announced significant progress on its Nusantara Coastal Paradise (NCP) project, a large-scale integrated development on Bintan Island, Riau Islands Province, Indonesia. The project aims to establish a new economic hub leveraging Bintan’s strategic location and a growing portfolio of licenses and partnerships.
The NCP project encompasses a diverse range of facilities designed to attract international investment and tourism. Key components include:
- Nusantara Coastal Paradise (NCP): A comprehensive development envisioned as a new economic and tourism center.
- Bintan Convention and Exhibition Center: A dedicated space to showcase indonesian resources and products to a global audience.
- Integrated Lifestyle Amenities: A self-contained ecosystem featuring a shopping mall, cinema, parks, and recreational facilities.
Foundational Strengths & Strategic Advantages
APGA highlights several key strengths underpinning the NCP project’s potential for success:
- Geological Stability: The project site benefits from a historically stable geological surroundings, minimizing the risk of major natural disasters.
- Strategic Maritime Location: Situated along the Straits of Malacca, a critical international shipping route, the NCP offers significant geopolitical and logistical advantages for trade and commerce.The Straits of Malacca handles an estimated 25% of global trade.
- Global partnerships: APGA is collaborating with industry leaders AECOM, a multinational infrastructure consulting firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and Napital, an environmental innovation enterprise, to ensure the project meets world-class standards and incorporates robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
Licensing and Regulatory Framework
APGA has secured a range of licenses and permits supporting the NCP project, including:
- JinGangShan Asia-Pacific General Association organizational licenses (covering operations in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, and a general asia-Pacific license).
- A Life Memorial services Park License.
- A zoning map designating the project’s Free Trade Zone status.
- A Bintan Island Headquarters License.
- A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) for a 38-province exhibition center initiative.
- The NCP Project Agreement with AECOM & Napital (detailed in Note 6).
