Jin Tae Hyun and Park Si Eun Urge Couples to Plan Children Early

Jin Tae Hyun and Park Si Eun Urge Couples to Plan Children Early

October 30, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Actors Park Si Eun and Jin Tae Hyun advised couples to plan for children early, sharing their own experiences with miscarriages and late family planning in a YouTube video released on October 30, Koreaboo reported.

Early Family Planning Recommendations from Park Si Eun and Jin Tae Hyun

Jin Tae Hyun and Park Si Eun addressed family planning in a video titled “Couples School by Park Si Eun and Jin Tae Hyun Lecture 2: The Sooner, The Better – Responsible Child Planning” posted to their YouTube channel. Jin Tae Hyun advised, If you’ve decided not to have kids, then don’t. It’s okay if just the two of you are happy, but speaking from our experience, do it early. Have kids quickly and raise them quickly. He added, You have to have a baby in your twenties to give birth to a truly healthy child. These days, society has changed, so even in your thirties you feel young, but your body is aging. From your forties, it’s a struggle against youth. It’s definitely better to have children as soon as possible.

Park Si Eun noted their own timeline, stating, I was 36 and Tae Hyun was 35 when we got married. Our starting point was already very late. She continued, Still, during our newlywed life, we didn’t think much about having children. We thought we’d enjoy our newlywed period a bit longer before having kids. Even though it was late, we were immature. We only started preparing for kids in our forties. It was too late. Jin Tae Hyun joked, We were crazy.

Park Si Eun also recalled advice from older colleagues. Even then, our seniors told us, ‘If you get married, have a baby first. Jobs will come even if you want to focus on them, but have a baby first.’ At the time, it didn’t really resonate with me, but now I understand why they said that. Having a newlywed period of about a year is okay, but we highly recommend having children sooner, she said.

Personal History with Miscarriages and Adoption

The couple married in 2015 and adopted a college-aged daughter in 2019. After experiencing two miscarriages, Park Si Eun became pregnant again in 2023. They lost the child 20 days before the scheduled due date.
