Jimmy Kimmel Urges Hecklers To Shout Ballroom Phrase At Trump
“Shove that ballroom up your fat a*s,” an audience member shouted during a political rally in Corinth, Mississippi, sparking a late-night television segment that turned the viral insult into campaign merchandise. The confrontation unfolded on Monday when President Donald Trump was addressing supporters ahead of next week’s midterm elections, while stumping for Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS). Security quickly escorted the heckler out after the interruption.
During his Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue on Tuesday night, host Jimmy Kimmel addressed how the president’s tone-deaf comedy jam got tripped up by the heckler. After the shout, Trump snapped at the individual, saying, “Oh, go home! Go home. Go home,” while the crowd booed. Kimmel seized on the moment, laughing and telling his audience, “That’s right. Go home and high-five everybody for that.” Trump baselessly insisted during the rally that Democratic megadonor George Soros paid hecklers to interrupt his events, adding, “And they ruin their lives because now they get booked. Now they get booked. We don’t usually press it too hard, but isn’t that terrible?”
Kimmel Suggests Printing Insults on Shirts
Kimmel wondered aloud whether the insult might catch on as Trump continues campaigning for Republicans on his last run of pre-midterm rallies. “Wouldn’t it be a shame if people started yelling that everywhere he goes? ‘Shove that ballroom up your fat a*s?’” Kimmel snarked on Tuesday night. “You know what would be even worse? If people started printing it on shirts.”
To illustrate what a shame it would be, a bright red T-shirt was tossed to Kimmel, bearing the offending message in large white letters with the word “a*s” emblazoned across the bottom of the back. “Please, please don’t do this at his next rally tomorrow in Ohio or the next one in South Carolina,” Kimmel teased as the audience cheered. “Please! It’s beneath us.”
The White House Ballroom Background
The heckler was referring to the planned White House ballroom, a project Trump has been obsessing over for more than a year. The president initially claimed it would cost $200 million and be paid for by private donors. More recent reports, however, indicate the ballroom’s cost has ballooned to $600 million, with taxpayers covering half of it.

The ABC host is hoping that the Corinth interruption is not the last time the president hears the phrase, encouraging others to embrace the jab as the president continues his campaign schedule.
