The 45-year-old artist recently shared on the “Today” show that she is “ready” to date again, though she admits to feeling “slightly terrified.” When offered a potential introduction by host Jenna Bush Hager, Simpson enthusiastically responded, “Please!”
Simpson elaborated on her preferences, stating she’s drawn to “one-of-a-kind” individuals. She values authenticity and confidence, emphasizing a desire for someone who “exude[s] confidence without the ego.” She noted that finding such a balance is challenging but remains optimistic about finding a compatible partner.

Simpson announced her separation from the former NFL player Eric Johnson in January, concluding a decade of marriage. The couple, who wed in 2014, share three children: Maxwell Drew, 12, Birdie Mae, 5, and 11-year-old Ace Knute. Previously, Simpson was married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006.
