Vincent Kompany opens Door for Jérôme boateng Return to bayern Munich as coach
MUNICH – bayern munich manager Vincent Kompany has expressed strong interest in welcoming former player Jérôme boateng back to the club,this time as a coach. The offer comes shortly after Boateng, 37, announced his retirement from professional football on Friday, following a brief stint wiht Austrian side Lask.
Boateng revealed to Welt am Sonntag his immediate plans to pursue coaching qualifications, having already successfully completed his B license and aiming for his A license and football teacher certification.He hopes to begin his coaching career as an assistant at a club.Kompany enthusiastically endorsed the possibility of an internship for Boateng at Bayern, stating at a press conference Thursday, “I would always welcome that, it is so valuable. I would welcome every Bayern legend with good intentions to share their experiences with us.”
Kompany and Boateng previously played together at Hamburger SV and Manchester city. “I am extremely proud of him and what he has achieved,” Kompany added, acknowledging Boateng’s illustrious career, which culminated in a 2014 World Cup victory with Germany. Boateng played for Bayern Munich from 2011 to 2021,winning nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League titles.
