BREAKING: K-pop sensation Jeon Somi is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming horror-thriller Perfect Girl, joining Arden Cho (KPop Demon Hunters) and Adeline Rudolph (Mortal Kombat II).The film, described as a blend of Scream and Black Swan, centers on a competitive K-pop super group preparing for its debut. With only four spots available and the final selection imminent, tensions rise when a mysterious new member enters the fray, leading to a series of attacks and a deadly competition to determine who will make the final lineup.
Written by Lynn Q. Yu, Perfect Girl will be directed by Hong Won-ki (Goedam), founder of Zanybros, and produced by Badlands, Thunder road, and Arden Cho. Production is scheduled to begin October 27th in Asia. The film will feature six original songs integrating music and the narrative.
Jeon Somi first gained prominence after winning the reality competition Produce 101 and debuting with the group I.O.I, subsequently launching a accomplished solo career with hits including “Birthday,” “What You Waiting For,” and “Dumb Dumb.”

International sales are being handled by Upgrade, with CAA Media finance representing domestic rights. Additional casting is currently underway. Jeon Somi is represented by TheBlackLabel.
