Jeff the Duck Teams Up with Daredevil in New Marvel Special
Marvel’s beloved duck, Jeff, is heading to Hell’s Kitchen for a team-up with Daredevil in a new one-shot comic, It’s Jeff Meets Daredevil #1. The special, slated for release in the United States on February 4th, will see the surprisingly adaptable Jeff navigating the gritty world of Marvel’s street-level hero.
The crossover, conceived by writer Brandon Thompson and artist Gurihiru, presents a unique challenge: integrating Jeff’s lighthearted adventures into the darker tone of Daredevil’s universe. “some might think the rooftops of Hell’s Kitchen and the dark side of Marvel’s street crime fighting aren’t a good fit for Jeff, but WE say Jeff goes everywhere,” Thompson stated. “and sometimes that’s the challenge: how to adapt Jeff to less obvious worlds, and how much Gurhiru and I can adapt Daredevil to fit Jeff.”
jeff’s adventures, initially published in Marvel Infinity, are short stories featuring the iconic animal experiencing various scenarios throughout the marvel Universe. These stories, known for their childish charm and appeal to both young and adult readers, were recently compiled into a volume published by Panini Comics. While a release date for a Spanish translation is currently unknown, fans may see the material collected in a future compilation volume.
