Jakob Kehlet to Serve as VAR Official for Crucial Fenerbahçe Match
ISTANBUL – Danish referee Jakob Kehlet will assume the role of VAR official for Fenerbahçe’s upcoming Süper Lig contest, bringing a wealth of experience managing high-stakes international fixtures to the Turkish league. The appointment comes as Fenerbahçe battles for league supremacy, making accurate officiating paramount.
Kehlet, born in Denmark, has overseen over 500 career matches, including assignments in UEFA champions League and Europa League qualifying rounds, the UEFA Conference League, and international competitions such as World Cup and european Championship qualifiers, as well as UEFA Nations League matches. He also has experience officiating at the youth international level,having been assigned to European Championship qualifying matches for younger national teams. Prior to this appointment,Kehlet served as a guest VAR official in the second half of the 2024-25 Süper Lig season.
The Danish official’s extensive resume demonstrates his familiarity with intense competitive environments. His prior engagements include matches across various UEFA club competitions and national team qualifying stages, positioning him as a seasoned authority in football officiating.
