Jake The Snake Roberts says he has re-signed with WWE

Jake “The Snake” Roberts has re-signed with WWE following his departure from All Elite Wrestling, confirming the career shift during an interview on the Nick Club Wrestling Happy Hour hosted by Nick Teodoro, f4wonline.com reported.

From AEW Departure to WWE Return

Roberts confirmed in May during an interview with Bill Apter that he was no longer employed with AEW. His initial run with that promotion began in March 2020. During his recent appearance with Teodoro, the WWE Hall of Famer stated that he has officially re-signed with WWE, noting that he is simply enjoying life.

“Staying busy. Not in AEW anymore. Re-signed with WWE, doing some stuff for them and just enjoying life, man,” Roberts said during the interview.

Prior to confirming the new WWE agreement, Roberts appeared at a Fanatics meet-and-greet during WWE SummerSlam weekend. He was originally inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2014.

Critique of AEW Roster Management

During the same interview, Roberts evaluated the current state of his former employer. He suggested that AEW management could optimize its talent utilization, specifically pointing to Lance Archer, whom Roberts previously managed.

“Tony Khan needs to loosen up the reins a little bit and take some advice. He’s got a good product. He’s got a lot of talent in there. I think his talent could be used better. Just my own thoughts. I loved working for Tony Khan. I don’t wish him nothing but the best. He’s a sweet guy,” Roberts said.

On Archer’s career trajectory, Roberts added: “It was the perfect pairing. We had everything that we needed. And he is such an unbelievable talent. He has never gotten the break he deserves. He really hasn’t. It’s a damn shame. Really is.”
