Concert Closes Five-Month Cultural Season
The closing event featured local artists including Wu Lanlan, the Aduqin Group, and Menggeninhua performing regional standards such as “Horizon,” “Four-Year-Old Chestnut Horse,” and “Meeting by the Aobao,” cnr.cn reported. Singer Qifeng delivered the final performance of the evening, concluding with the titular track “I Have an Agreement with the Grassland” while the audience joined in. Qifeng noted his excitement about performing familiar material for a local audience to showcase the region’s cultural identity.
Gao Jinshan, deputy head of the Inner Mongolia Art Theatre Modern Art Troupe, stated that the concert tour launched in 2025 and visited 56 cities across 16 provincial-level regions before returning for the Hohhot finale. The evening’s program combined folk vocals with acrobatics from the Seventh National Minority Art Festival, a rendition of “Chilege Song” performed by Peking opera actor Li Ziwei, and traditional dance and aerial arts.
