Jack White and Eminem to Headline Detroit Lions thanksgiving Halftime Shows
DETROIT – In a historic pairing, rock icon Jack White and rap superstar Eminem will co-headline the halftime shows for the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving games over the next three years. The NFL announced the multi-year collaboration, extending through 2027, will bring high-profile musical acts to Ford field during the Lions’ annual Thanksgiving Day contests.
The Detroit Lions’ tradition of hosting a Thanksgiving game provides a unique national stage, and this partnership elevates the experience for fans both in the stadium and watching at home. While the Lions have a longstanding,though often challenging,history on Thanksgiving-currently holding a record of 37 wins and 46 losses-the addition of world-class entertainment aims to enhance the holiday spectacle. Last year’s game against the Chicago bears featured a halftime performance by Shaboozey, and the NFL has secured a deal with Rock Nation to help with the Lions’ thanksgiving halftime production through 2027.
This year, Post Malone and Lil Jon also join the lineup of performers scheduled to appear during the NFL’s Thanksgiving Day games. The Lions fell to the Green bay Packers on Thursday, November 23rd, despite a strong showing from their fanbase. though, the team did secure a victory over the chicago Bears on Thanksgiving 2023.
