ITTF Annual General Meeting to Resume Online November 15th Following Tribunal Decision
Teh International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) will resume its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) fully online on November 15th, the Executive Board announced today. The resumption follows a decision by the ITTF Tribunal on September 1st,2025,which upheld the results of the Presidential election, bringing an end to a period of uncertainty surrounding the association’s leadership and future direction.
This continuation of the AGM is critical for the ITTF to finalize key governance decisions and strategic planning. The outcome will directly impact the structure of the federation’s leadership, the composition of its committees, and its roadmap for celebrating its centennial in 2026. The online format aims to maximize participation from member associations worldwide, ensuring a broad and inclusive conclusion to the remaining agenda items.
The Executive Board reached the decision during a meeting on September 20th, 2025, citing Articles 1.41,1.61.16 and 1.61.17 of the ITTF Statutes. After receiving autonomous Swiss legal counsel, the Board considered options including a fully remote meeting or a hybrid format at ITTF Headquarters in Lausanne, ultimately opting for the fully online approach. To guarantee impartiality, an independent third-party company will manage the continuation of the meeting.
The remaining agenda items to be addressed on November 15th include:
- Election of ITTF Executive Vice-Presidents
- Ratification of the ITTF Council Members
- Appointment of Commitee Members
- ITTF in 2026 – One Hundred Years
- Next General Meeting
- Any Other Business
- Adjournment
The ITTF expressed confidence that the resumed AGM will facilitate a constructive conclusion to the current proceedings and allow the organization to move forward with unity, focused on the global development of table tennis.
