Springfield, MA – November 29, 2023 – The Irish Tenors are returning to Springfield this Friday, December 1, for a concert at the Hope Center for the Arts, a venue established by prides Stores founder Robert bolduc. The performance marks another visit to a region the group feels deeply connected to, given its rich irish heritage.
“this part of america is so rich in Irish heritage and culture – and we always feel so at home when we are in the area,” said Anthony Kearns, a member of the trio alongside Ronan Tynan and Patrick Hyland. “Together, and as a group, we have played many concerts here, and it always feels like a reunion, even if we are meeting new friends and fans.”
For over 25 years, The Irish Tenors have captivated audiences worldwide with a blend of traditional Irish ballads and contemporary standards, performing sold-out shows at iconic venues including Radio City music Hall, Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood bowl, and the Sydney Opera House.
Kearns,a founding member of the group as 1998,has also performed at critically important national events, including the eternal flame ceremony at Arlington Cemetery in 2013 commemorating the 50th anniversary of President john F. Kennedy‘s visit to ireland, and a pre-Mass concert during Pope Francis’ 2015 visit to the United States.
Kearns expressed excitement about the Hope Center for the Arts’ unique sound system, noting its ability to seperate overlapping tones for exceptional clarity. While the concert will feature beloved Irish classics like “Danny Boy” and “Fields of Athenry,” Kearns emphasized the group’s broad appeal. “Our concerts are not just for the Irish, or the Irish in spirit.”
The Tenors will also perform Christmas songs and other uplifting seasonal music.
