iPhone 17 Series India Prices Tipped Ahead of Apple’s September Launch

New Delhi: Leaked pricing suggests the upcoming iPhone 17 ⁤lineup⁣ could launch in India ‌starting around ₹79,900, with the new iPhone 17 air model⁤ positioned near ₹89,900. While a five percent decline in the rupee’s value against the US dollar this year ⁢initially pointed to potential price increases, current market leaks indicate Apple may maintain stable pricing for ‌the base model, as it’s⁣ not expected to feature significant upgrades over the iPhone 16.

The ⁣anticipated pricing for the entire iPhone 17 series in India includes a potential shift for‍ the iPhone 17 Pro ‌to around ₹1,30,000, ‌reflecting ‍a‍ US price increase, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to remain near last year’s ₹1,44,900. Thes estimates are based⁤ on reported US pricing and⁤ Apple’s typical India pricing strategy.

Reports from JP ‌Morgan suggest Apple will hold prices steady in the US for the entry-level iPhone 17 at $799, matching last year’s price. The iPhone 17 Air, ⁢replacing the Plus model, is tipped to be priced between $899 and $949. The iPhone 17 Pro could see a $100 increase to $1,099, while the Pro Max is likely to ⁢remain at $1,199.

Industry analysts note that despite potential growth, the iPhone is unlikely to become a mass-market ⁤device in India in the near future. Techarc projects iPhone shipments in‍ India could plateau around 15 million ⁣units annually for three to five years, with apple perhaps achieving a 12-15 percent share of the Indian smartphone market by volume by 2030-33.⁤

Apple ‍will officially confirm the pricing and specifications of ‍the iPhone 17 series at its ‘Awe Dropping’ event on September 9th. These figures remain speculative until the official declaration.
