Reports circulating online suggest that access to a new feature is currently limited to owners of the iPhone 15 Pro and higher-end models. The initial observation stemmed from a user inquiry posted online, asking how others had obtained the functionality, implying its exclusivity.
Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 15 Pro in September 2023, highlighting its 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology and the A17 Pro chip. The device boasts a triple-camera system, including a 48MP main lens, alongside ultra-wide and telephoto options, capable of capturing 4K video. Available storage options range from 128GB to 1TB, with 8GB of RAM and a Ceramic Shield glass front cover, according to specifications detailed by GSMArena.
Currently, Apple is promoting trade-in offers for eligible smartphones, providing credit towards the purchase of newer models including the iPhone 17, iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro. Pricing for the iPhone 17 Pro starts “from $price.display.smart” or a monthly installment plan, as advertised on Apple’s website. Other models currently available include the iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, and a range of previous generation iPhones extending back to the iPhone 8.
Retailers such as Best Buy are also offering the iPhone 15 Pro, with availability for both online delivery and in-store pickup. Amazon.com currently lists the iPhone 15 Pro, 256GB in Black Titanium as an unlocked option.
