iOS 27: Compatible iPhone Models Leaked – Full List
Apple has announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from June 8 to 12, 2026, with the keynote event scheduled for June 8. The conference is expected to unveil iOS 27, along with updates to other Apple operating systems, and has sparked discussion regarding compatibility with older iPhone models.
According to reports from within Apple, as shared by leaker DigitalStation, four iPhone models powered by the A13 Bionic chip may not be compatible with the upcoming iOS 27. These models include the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and the iPhone SE (2nd generation). This potential discontinuation of software support would mark the end of updates for these devices.
If the reports prove accurate, the following iPhone models would be compatible with iOS 27: the iPhone Air (2025), the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max (2025), the iPhone 16e (2025), the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max (2024), the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max (2023), the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max (2022), the iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max (2021), the iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max (2020), and the iPhone SE (3rd generation) (2022).
Sources close to DigitalStation have indicated that Apple is still considering extending support for iOS 27 to older models equipped with the A13 Bionic chip, leaving the possibility open that the iPhone 11 series and the iPhone SE 2nd generation may ultimately remain compatible.
WWDC 2026 is anticipated to be a significant event for Apple, with a particular focus on advancements in artificial intelligence. Apple’s official announcement for the conference explicitly highlighted “AI advancements” as a key theme, signaling a major push into the field. The event is as well expected to showcase a revamped Siri chatbot, potentially rivaling offerings like ChatGPT, and will likely mark the end of support for Intel-based Macs, according to reports.
The keynote address and the Platforms State of the Union presentation will be streamed online via Apple’s platforms, including Apple.com, the Developer app, Apple TV, and YouTube. A limited number of developers and students will be invited to attend in person at Apple Park.
