Meta Launches “Instagram Rings” to Honor top Creators with Dedicated In-App Features
MENLO PARK, CA – October 27, 2025 - Meta Platforms today announced the “Instagram Rings” program, a new annual awards initiative designed to recognize and celebrate exceptional creativity on the platform. Winners will receive a unique gold ring and, notably, be featured in a dedicated spotlight and feed within the Instagram app itself.
The program marks a notable investment by Meta in acknowledging and supporting its creator community, a vital component of InstagramS continued growth and engagement. With the rise of creator-focused platforms and increasing competition for talent, recognizing and rewarding top performers is crucial. The Instagram Rings program aims to not only honor creators but also inspire others to take creative risks and refine their skills on the platform. The inaugural awards have already been presented, with Meta expressing a commitment to continuing and expanding the program in future years.
“We’re doing something that we haven’t realy ever done before, which is give these winners the ability to personalize their profile page,” explained Meta’s Chen.
The launch of Instagram Rings echoes the longevity of established entertainment awards – the Academy Awards began nearly a century ago, the Emmys over 75 years ago, and the Grammys in 1959 – signaling Meta’s ambition for the program to become a lasting tradition. A panel of industry luminaries served as judges for the inaugural awards.
“Feedback is a gift, as we frequently enough say here at Meta, and we’d love to see how it’s received and how the winners enjoy the literal Instagram spotlight,” Chen added. “It took a long time for this program to come together, it’s the culmination of years of wanting to do something like it and being able to execute it, both product-wise and getting this panel of luminaries together to be judges.”
Meta intends to build upon the initial program, continually raising the bar for creativity and recognition. “They will have to get through this frist one first, it’s been a very long time in the making, but we’d love to continue to recognize and celebrate the artists and voices on Instagram,” chen stated. “It’s so significant now for creators to take creative chances and to continue to hone their craft and feed themselves on this ever growing platform. so I think that the hope is for us to be able to do this for years to come, and every year, just keep on kind of upping the ante in terms of creativity and spotlights.”
