Indonesia is strategically leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to empower its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and drive national digital transformation. This initiative aims to enhance market analysis, streamline operations, and foster global competitiveness for local businesses.

Loto Srinaita Ginting, an expert staff member for finance and MSME growth at the Ministry of state-Owned Enterprises, highlighted AI’s potential. “By utilizing AI technology, our msmes will be able to analyze market demand more quickly,” Ginting stated at a recent event in Surabaya, East Java.

Ginting further explained that AI is poised to facilitate crucial data integration between buyers and sellers, leading to more precise and adaptive business processes that respond effectively to evolving market dynamics. The technology is also expected to assist MSMEs in optimizing raw material inventory and managing production cycles with greater efficiency and adaptability.

“AI can be a facilitator that can help the MSMEs expand business at the domestic level and enter the industrial chain at the global level,” Ginting added,underscoring AI’s role in both local and international market expansion.
