India​ Achieves Historic Success at Asian‌ U-17 & U-15 Championships

The Asian U-17 & ⁣U-15 Championships in Chengdu, China, are proving too be a landmark event for Indian badminton, marked by an all-Indian final in⁢ the U-17 girls’‍ singles and a total of five medals secured by the Indian contingent ‌-⁢ a new national record for the​ competition.

The U-17 girls’ singles will see Diksha Sudhakar face Lakshya Rajesh in a historic title ​clash, guaranteeing ⁣India a gold and ⁢silver medal – the first time two Indian players have contested a final in the Asian ​U-17 girls’ singles category. ⁣Both players secured their spots with convincing victories in their‌ respective⁣ semifinal​ matches.
