Impact46 invests SAR 25 Million+ in Five MENA Gaming Studios, Fueling Regional Growth
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Impact46 has announced a significant investment exceeding SAR 25 million in five promising gaming studios: Fahy, NJD, Game Cooks, Starvania, and Alpaka. This investment, drawn from their SAR 150 million Gaming Fund launched in March 2024, underscores Impact46’s commitment to supporting innovative founders and shaping the future of gaming in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
These studios represent a diverse range of gaming experiences, encompassing culturally relevant mobile games, immersive console/PC titles, and cutting-edge hybrid-casual action games. This highlights the growing creative and technical talent within the MENA game development ecosystem.
“Gaming is a powerful force – a universal language of youth, culture, and creativity,” stated Basmah alsinaidi, Managing Partner at Impact46. “We’re investing in builders who are not only creating games, but also building the infrastructure and narratives that will define the next generation of content in the region.”
This latest round of funding expands Impact46’s gaming portfolio to nine active companies,including earlier investments in Spoilz and Spekter games. Spoilz focuses on developing engaging IPs with global appeal, while Spekter Games pioneers the integration of Web3 technologies into mobile gaming.
This investment aligns with Saudi Arabia’s aspiring National Gaming and Esports Strategy and Vision 2030, which aims to establish the Kingdom as a global gaming hub. Supported by national programs and initiatives like the national Development Fund and the Esports World Cup foundation, Saudi Arabia is rapidly becoming a key launchpad for the region’s gaming industry.
