Former Antalya ⁤Police Chief Arrested in Bribery and Fraud Investigation

Antalya, Turkey – İlker Arslan, former Chief of Police for Antalya, has been arrested following a probe into ⁣allegations of bribery and fraud linked to the‌ Antalya Metropolitan‍ Municipality.⁤ The arrest ‍comes after Arslan was dismissed ⁣from his post by the Ministry of Interior,according⁤ to a statement released yesterday by the General Directorate of Security via its Nssocial account.

The ‍antalya ​Chief Public prosecutor’s Office initiated the investigation, leading to Arslan’s detention on charges including ⁣acting as an intermediary in⁣ bribery, qualified fraud,‍ and acquiring illicit⁤ property. Businessperson FA was also detained as ‌part of the same investigation, facing accusations of bribery and qualified fraud. ‌Following police operations,Arslan was ‍formally arrested by a Magistrate Criminal⁢ Court,with FA⁣ also implicated in the‌ court’s decision.
