IIF to Host Exclusive Roundtable on Digital Assets Alongside 2025 Annual Meeting
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Institute of International Finance (IIF) will convene a special, invitation-only session focused on the rapidly evolving landscape of digital assets – specifically stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) – in conjunction with its 2025 Annual Membership Meeting (AMM). The roundtable aims to foster substantive dialogue among public and private sector leaders regarding the advancements, geopolitical implications, and regulatory considerations surrounding these emerging financial instruments.
The session, designated “Digital Assets (Part 1),” will prioritize a working discussion centered on tokenized instruments for payments. It will incorporate critical perspectives and highlight notable initiatives in the field. A follow-up session, “Digital Assets (Part 2): Securitization and Market Structure,” will be held later in the week, concentrating on traded financial assets, crypto-assets, and the development of regulatory frameworks for securitized markets.
The IIF emphasizes the session’s exclusive nature, noting it will be closed to the press and conducted under the Chatham House Rule to encourage open and candid conversation.
