IHK honors two Hanau apprentices for top examination results

Sixty-eight top apprentices across Hanau and the Main-Kinzig district earned formal recognition from the Chamber of Commerce, highlighted by two municipal workers achieving a grade of 1 on their final exams, according to presse-service.de.

Oberbürgermeister Dr. Maximilian Bieri welcomed and congratulated Cedric Schiefer and Jörn Kleem in his office for securing the two best completions achieved by employees of municipal companies, as reported by Mkk Echo. The Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) Hanau-Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern honored a total of 68 graduates from Hanau and the Main-Kinzig district for their outstanding examination results. Dr. Bieri also praised the training companies for opening up perspectives for young people and accompanying them on their professional path.

Top Achievers from Municipal Companies

Jörn Kleem finished his training as an industrial mechanic at Hanau Netz GmbH after completing school and a federal voluntary service at the Technical Relief Agency. Both attained the top grade of 1 within the IHK district of Hanau-Gelnhausen-Schlüchtern. Dr. Bieri stated that Hanau is a large city with a large city administration and strong municipal self-governed enterprises and companies.

Reflecting on his path, Schiefer highlighted the block-model classes at the vocational college in Bochum, where digital tools played a major role. Kleem discovered the apprenticeship at Hanau Netz through an online posting after graduating from the Hohen Landesschule. Drawn to the practical aspects of the technical trade, Kleem explained: Mich hat vor allem die praktische Arbeit gereizt. He added that the apprenticeship gave him the opportunity to combine his interests with a varied everyday working life.
