IHK Düsseldorf and von Fraunberg Art Gallery launch Backspace Salon
The von fraunberg art gallery and the IHK Düsseldorf are launching a new discussion format titled Backspace Salon – Gespräche zwischen Wirtschaft, Kultur und Gesellschaft. Scheduled for November 2026 with a start time of 18:30 Uhr, the inaugural event takes place at Luisenstraße 53, 40215 Düsseldorf, focusing on the theme „Mut zur Gestaltung“.”
Conversations Across Sectors at Luisenstraße 53
The newly established format aims to connect business, culture, and society through open discussions rather than traditional speaker events or presentations with finished answers. Instead of a standard podium where positions are presented sequentially, the Backspace Salon is designed to create space for personal and open dialogue on equal footing. Participants with diverse backgrounds and perspectives will meet to listen, potentially disagree, and develop new thoughts through exchange. Central questions for the evening include what gives people the courage to shape the future, what motivates individuals to leave familiar perspectives, what is required to turn ideas into actual change, and how a culture of encouragement can be fostered in businesses and society.
Nina Chevalier Leads Discussion for 46 Registered Guests
The evening and discussion will be led by Nina Chevalier, an entrepreneur and committed representative of the Mittelstand in the IHK Düsseldorf and the DIHK in Berlin. Welcoming remarks will be delivered by Antonia von Fraunberg of the von fraunberg art gallery and Katarina Blattner of IHK Düsseldorf. Following the salon, attendees are invited to continue their conversations personally during a get-together.
Attendance for the free event is limited to 46 guests, and binding registration is required. Attendees are advised that photo and film recordings will be made during the gathering, which may be used by the gallery in print products and social media.
