Iga Świątek Ends Lancôme Partnership: Details & Future Deals

Iga Świątek, the world No. 2 ranked tennis player, has ended her partnership with the luxury cosmetics brand Lancôme, according to reports confirmed by both parties on Thursday. The collaboration, which began in April 2024, marked a historic moment as Świątek became the first athlete to serve as a global brand ambassador for the company.

The news was first reported by Polish sports outlet Sport.pl, which noted that fans had observed the removal of Lancôme from the list of Świątek’s business partners on her official website. Dariia Sulgostowska, Świątek’s PR manager, confirmed the complete of the partnership but declined to provide details regarding the decision-making process, stating that the team does not disclose specifics of business arrangements. Sulgostowska did confirm there are no joint campaigns planned for 2027.

Lancôme, a part of the L’Oréal group, officially stated the partnership concluded on January 31st. In a statement provided to Sport.pl, the company described the collaboration as “an important and inspiring experience,” highlighting the numerous communication and image projects undertaken during the partnership. “We thank Iga Świątek for her commitment, authenticity and contribution to the implementation of joint projects. We wish her further success – both on and off the court,” the statement read.

The partnership saw Świątek join a roster of prominent Lancôme ambassadors including actresses Julia Roberts and Zendaya. At the time of the announcement, Bastien Fachan, a marketing analyst focused on tennis, noted on social media the significance of the move, stating, “From questioning whether she wears makeup before going to a party, to the role of global ambassador for Lancôme. Iconic Miss Świątek.”

Lancôme had initially described Świątek as “the voice of a young generation and an inspiration to all,” emphasizing her dedication to success and her advocacy for women’s issues, aligning with Lancôme’s commitment to female empowerment. Świątek had expressed her intention to collaborate with Lancôme on a CSR program in Poland supporting women in the workforce.

The partnership was short-lived, however, as Lancôme simultaneously announced a collaboration with Chinese tennis player Qinwen Zheng just one day after revealing Świątek as an ambassador.

Fans of Świątek have speculated about potential new partnerships, with French fashion house Louis Vuitton frequently mentioned. Sulgostowska has not commented on these rumors. Świątek’s partnership with Porsche concluded in mid-2025. She currently maintains business relationships with On, Visa, Rolex, PZU, and Lego.
